5 tips for IoT systems developers at design stage to follow when deciding upon a battery for your connected object

Choosing the right battery for your Internet of things device is a complex task that is better addressed early in the design process to prevent your IoT project from taking a wrong turn.

In these videos, Isabel Sourmey, Application Engineer at Saft’s Connected Energy Division, provides 5 actionable tips on choosing and integrating the best battery for your IoT device and building a product that delivers on its promise.

5 Tips to sail through battery selection for your IoT device

Tip #1: Think about the power supply of your connected object at an early stage

Tip #2: Studying the consumption of your object is a good idea, but pay attention to voltage too.

Tip #3: Optimize your design.

Tip #4: Test your IOT objects with their batteries in real-life conditions

Tip #5: Request a battery lifetime calculation from your supplier.
