Utilities

Communities and businesses rely on uninterrupted energy from power plants, transmission and distribution substations to function safely and effectively.

Nickel battery and lithium-ion reliable backup power solutions

Saft's nickel battery and lithium-ion battery solutions are reliable and instant sources of backup power in case of emergency. Our li-ion and nickel battery systems are used around the world when a primary source of power suddenly goes down. Highly reliable, they can cope with the huge demands placed on them to ensure those downstream get the power they expect and need until primary power re-engages.

With high discharge and resistance to extreme temperatures, our nickel battery and lithium-ion battery solutions will instantly crank up an emergency generator engine or switch on turbines, pumps or other equipment, keeping steam, gas and hydro turbines, renewable plants, switchgears, balance of plant UPS, data-acquisition systems and diesel generators working.
