White Paper
Saft marine batteries designed to meet stringent operational targets
With current global trends shifting towards a reduction of air emissions from all sectors, the marine industry – including navies, shipyards and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) –is experiencing increased pressure from decision-makers and regulators to address its emissions and improve overall energy efficiency on the seas. Without significant gains in energy efficiency, shipping could end up being responsible for up to 15 percent of the world’s GHG emissions by 2050.
